How to Install Your Floating Shelves in 5 Simple Steps
We designed ET WOODCRAFT shelves to be sturdy yet easy to install. Whether you are a DIY pro or a first-timer, you can have your new shelf up in under 15 minutes.
What You Will Need:
-
Power Drill
-
Level (Spirit level)
-
Pencil
-
Hammer
-
Stud Finder (Recommended for drywall)
-
Hardware included in your box: Heavy-duty brackets, screws, and wall anchors.

Step 1: Determine the Location Hold the shelf up to your desired spot. Place your level on top to ensure it is perfectly straight. Use a pencil to lightly mark the position of the shelf on the wall.
Step 2: Mark the Bracket Holes Hold the heavy-duty metal bracket against the wall (aligning it with your previous marks). Mark the exact spots where you need to drill the holes.
-
Pro Tip: If possible, try to align at least one screw hole with a wall stud for maximum strength.
Step 3: Drill & Insert Anchors
-
For Drywall/Sheetrock: Drill a hole at your marked spots using a drill bit that matches the size of the provided anchors. Gently tap the wall anchors into the holes with a hammer until they are flush with the wall.
-
For Wood Studs/Brick/Concrete: You can screw directly into the wall without anchors (for studs) or use masonry anchors (for brick/concrete).
Step 4: Mount the Bracket Align the bracket with the anchors. Drive the screws in securely. Double-check with your level one last time to make sure the bracket is perfectly horizontal.
Step 5: Slide on the Shelf Simply slide your ET Live Edge shelf onto the bracket rods. If it feels a bit tight, that is normal—it ensures the shelf stays stable. Push it all the way back until it meets the wall.
You're done! Time to decorate your new masterpiece.
